Before co-founding MACUN Capital Partners in 2014 Lucas was responsible for the national and international Hospitality Business and Business Development within the Real Estate Asset Management division at Credit Suisse. Lucas was the driving force behind the creation and realization of a Hospitality Investment fund and was responsible for its launch (2010), flotation (2012) and for the general management of the fund for four years.

Between 2004 and 2007, Lucas was Managing Director of a Swiss hotel company with ten properties in Switzerland and was the Swiss entity’s representative in the executive board of Hospitality Alliance with more than 80 hotels internationally. Previously Lucas was a consultant with a national and international consulting and trust company focused on the hospitality industry. Between 1999 and 2002, Lucas served as head of commerce at an international tourism company and as business manager for 52 resorts and their commerce operations in Europe, the USA and Egypt.  Prior to 1999, Lucas worked for seven years as an assistant director and director in the vacation and business hospitality industry.

Lucas is a Swiss certified Hotelier-Restaurateur HF / SHL and holds a Commercial Diploma from the Association of Swiss Business Schools (VSH).

Since 2014 Meinhard holds various mandates in the area of hotel asset management and acts as advisor to various international hotel investors. He also provides specialist support for the realization of hotel developments internationally. Furthermore, he was Chairman of MACUN Capital Partners since their foundation from 2014 until June 2022.

Between 2003 and 2013 he served as the president of Swissôtel & Resorts. In this role he was responsible for the successful build-up and management of over 40 Hotels, the international expansion of the chain and the close collaboration with owners/investors.

Prior to entering Swissôtel & Resorts in 1997 Meinhard served as Vice President at Scotts Holding Ltd. where he was in charge of the development and acquisition of serviced-apartments and all-suite hotels.

During the 1990s he co-founded a middle market hotel company and successfully expanded the portfolio to 11 properties for institutional clients. At the time this was the largest private hotel start-up deal in the UK.

Meinhard serves as an Honorary Member of the Cornell Hotel Society and is a member of the International Advisory Council at the Strathclyde Business School.

As founder and president of the board at Atreacca AG he is also running his own company. Until March 2014 Karl was a Managing Director in various roles at Credit Suisse. Out of this eighteen-year career with the bank he served – amongst others – as CFO and member of the executive board at Credit Suisse Asset Management Switzerland & Europe (1997-2005) and COO at Credit Suisse Real Estate Asset Management (2006-2014).

Prior to joining Credit Suisse he gained 13 years’ experience in the areas of securities trading, investment advisory and corporate finance for international clients at Cresvale (Switzerland) Ltd. and Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd.

Karl is a US certified management accountant and Swiss certified expert in accounting and controlling.

Besides his role at MACUN Capital Partners he serves as vice-president of the board at Schweizerische Mobiliar Asset Management AG, member of the board at Zugerberg Finanz AG and member of the board of directors at UBS Clean Energy Infrastructure Switzerland 2 AG. Moreover, he was vice chairman of Macun Capital Partners since their foundation in 2014 until year end 2019.
